Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of communication within the family and social groups on the information literacy of 2019 Accounting Education students. This research is a quantitative study. This research will be carried out at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, Accounting Education Faculty of Teaching and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta, class of 2019, held in April 2022. The population in this study are students of the 2019 class of Accounting Education, Faculty of Education, Teaching, and Education, Muhammadiyah University, Surakarta, class of 2019. Respondents in the study there are 99 students out of 100 students. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, coefficient of determination, effective contribution and relative contribution. The results of the analysis of the discussion obtained the conclusion that: (1) Communication within the family has a positive and significant effect on the information literacy of 2019 accounting education students. The test obtained a value of tcount > ttable. (2) Social groups have a positive and significant effect on the information literacy of accounting education students class of 2019. In the test, the value of tcount > ttable is obtained. (3) Communication within the family and social groups has a positive and significant effect on the information literacy of accounting education students class of 2019. The results of the significance test of multiple linear regression obtained Fcount > Ftable. The coefficient of determination (R2) is 776% while the remaining 22.4% is influenced by other variables not examined.
