Abstract
This study aims to determine the role of the argo wilis farmer group in improving the quality of coffee in the village of Brengkolo Wonogiri. This research uses a type of qualitative research, in this method we can produce analytical procedures that do not use statistical analysis procedures. The method of determining the sample using Jugdemental or purposive sampling. The sample of this research is a group of coffee farmers in Brengkolo Village. The results of the first study are that farmer groups have motivation as their background in improving the quality of coffee production in Brengkolo Village. of efforts to improve the quality of coffee. The third is regarding the obstacles faced by farmer groups in improving the quality of coffee, namely the presence of erratic weather. the innovation of the farmer groups in Brengkolo Village in improving the quality of coffee, namely by changing the traditional sangria technique to now switching to roasting using a machine. The problem faced is the lack of communication between members of the farmer groups especially with the local government so that the assistance provided by the government or the programs provided do not work effectively, causing problems in each group of fishermen in the agricultural group.
