Abstract

This thesis is the result of research that aims to find out whether the development and management of productive waqf is optimal for the economic development of the people. As for the reason why researchers are interested in writing this thesis, there are many existing studies on productive waqf and the development of productive waqf, but no one has researched whether the development and management of productive waqf is optimal for the economic development of the people. This research method uses qualitative research with a literature review method applying SLR (Systematic Literature review). Processing data using data collection methods from various journals, books, theses, and other literature. At least from searches on Google Scholar, there are 10 research journals that are used as research material for 2015-2023. Based on the research results, it is known that of the 10 journal articles for which the development and management of productive waqf can be said to be optimal, there are 6 research journals and 4 research journals that are not optimal. Based on these conclusions, the researcher provides advice in terms of development and management should be given to competent and reliable nazirs and the role of BWI and waqf institutions to contribute to the management of productive waqf for the sake of economic development and also the importance of increasing socialization to all elements of society about productive waqf.
