Abstract
Parasocial interactions between K-pop fans and recurring idols lead to one-sided interpersonal relationships in which fans know more about the idol, providing a basis for understanding how fans potentially form relationships and emotional attachments with idols, this includes parasocial relationships. Interactions carried out by fans seeking information and understanding what situation is currently happening to their idol through the social media used by the idol. Social media is the main medium for K-pop fans to find all information about their idols. This research was conducted to see how parasocial relationships foster emotional attachment to fans towards their idols, which is what K-pop fans do on social media. This study uses a qualitative approach, has four sources who have been selected based on the conditions needed. From this study, that three respondents interacted intensely, while one respondent did not interact intensely but always tried to find information about his idol. The interactions carried out by the four respondents resulted in a parasocial relationship where there was an emotional attachment, namely with fans who felt the sincerity and love of the idol shown in the interactions carried out on social media.
