Abstract

Land use change is still an important concern in an area. Ngawi District is an area that is most strategically located including other sub-districts in Ngawi Regency because it is the city center of Ngawi Regency. The objectives of this study are: 1) analyze the distribution of land use change in Ngawi District, Ngawi Regency in 2009 and 2018; 2) analyze the factors that influence land use change in Ngawi District in 2009 and 2018 and 3) evaluate the suitability of land use changes with available government regulations. distribution of use and changes. Meanwhile, to determine the factors that influence the interview method. The results showed: 1) Changes in land use in Ngawi District occur in every village in the Ngawi District area, the village that has experienced the most changes in land use is Karang Tengah Village. The most changes in the type of land use in Ngawi District occurred in paddy fields, namely 3.34%; 2) Factors that influence changes in land use come from internal factors, namely caused by land ownership in an area and the suitability of the area with needs. It has nothing to do with the development or progress of the area in Ngawi District and 3) Changes in land use in 2009 and 2018 to the Regional Spatial Plan (RTRW) of Ngawi District have been appropriate by 53.95% or more than half of its area. The large number of appropriate land use changes is caused by the government's plan contained in the RTRW adjusting to the character of the physical conditions that exist in Ngawi District.
