Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of liquidity, profitability, managerial ownership, sales growth and asset structure on capital structure. This research was conducted at basic and chemical industry companies listed on the IDX for the 2014-2019 period. The number of samples used in this study were 17 companies. Samples were taken using a purposive sampling method. Data analysis techniques using multiple linear regression analysis, classical assumption test, t test, F test, and the coefficient of determination are used as data analysis methods. Based on data analysis, it is concluded that profitability (ROE) has a significant effect on capital structure. While liquidity (CR), managerial ownership, sales growth and asset structure (FAR) have no significant effect on capital structure.
