Abstract
Strategies to Increase the Professionalism of Islamic Religious Education Teachers According to Abdul Malik Fadjar. Thesis. Surakarta: Undergraduate Program at Muhammadiyah University Surakarta Faculty of Islamic Religion Department of Islamic Religious Education 2023. The purpose of this study was to describe the professionalism of Islamic religious education teachers and describe strategies to increase the professionalism of Islamic religious education teachers according to Abdul Malik Fadjar. This research is a qualitative research that collects data using library research. The approach used is a historical approach. To obtain the data, the authors use primary sources and secondary sources. Then the existing data, the authors analyze the method of content analysis (content analysis). The results of this study indicate (1) According to Abdul Malik Fadjar, an Islamic religious education teacher is someone who is educated and trained so that he has special abilities and expertise in his field, and has a wealth of experience in his field. (2) one of the strategies to increase the professionalism of Islamic religious education teachers is coaching and development. The guidance and development of the teaching profession that is carried out includes competency, pedagogic, personality, professional and social development. Whereas coaching and development for teacher careers are assignments, promotions, and promotions, according to the teacher's functional position.
