Abstract

In 2019, there were 138 tertiary institutions in the Yogyakarta region with more than 399,000 students registered. And there was an increase in new students from the 2012/2013 academic year to the 2018/2019 academic year of 6.15% per year, so universities need to balance it with adequate facilities, one of which is a lecture building. The building is planned in the Yogyakarta area with a history of frequent earthquakes. In addition, lecture buildings have a very high level of building risk. Therefore, it is planned that the building uses a special moment-bearing frame system. The purpose of this planning is to obtain the design of a structure capable of withstanding the load working on it. The planning method begins with data collection then continues with the design of the plan which is then given a load on the application of the structure used. The next step is control over the applicable requirements. And the last is the planning of structural elements. The guidelines used in loading are SNI 1727:2018 for dead loads, live loads and wind loads. As for the earthquake load, it refers to SNI 1726:2019. And structural planning refers to SNI 2847:2013. Structural planning includes planning plates, ladders, joist, main beams, columns, joints, soil retaining walls, pile foundations, and also tie beams.
