Prosocial behavior is behavior that helps others that does not directly benefit the helper. The factors that influence prosocial behavior are gratitude and emotional intelligence. The sample used in this study was ± 165 active undergraduate students studying at the Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta. This study uses a quantitative approach and uses three scales, namely the prosocial behavior scale, the gratitude scale and the emotional intelligence scale. The sampling technique used is Accidental Sampling. The data analysis used is multiple regression analysis. The hypothesis in this study is that there is an influence of gratitude and emotional intelligence on prosocial behavior. The results showed that there was an effect of gratitude and emotional intelligence on prosocial behavior (F = 34.639; p = 0.00; p <0.05). so the mayor's hypothesis is proven. There is a significant positive effect of emotional intelligence on prosocial behavior (t = 6.642; p = 0.001; p <0.05). There is no effect of gratitude on prosocial behavior (t = 0.416; p = 0.678; p > 0.05). The effect of gratitude and emotional intelligence on prosocial behavior is 30%. The effect of gratitude (1.1%) and emotional intelligence (28.9%) on prosocial behavior so that emotional intelligence variables are more influential than gratitude.
