Abstract
This study aims to determine communication patterns between mothers and young children in using the Youtube application in Cemani Village, Sukoharjo Regency. This research is a type of qualitative research with a descriptive research design. The data used in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data is data that is directly collected by researchers from research subjects or fields through interviews with selected informants using purposive sampling techniques. While the secondary data in this study was in the form of information collected by researchers through other parties obtained from documents, journals, and literature in accordance with this research study. The techniques used bye the author to collect data are interviews, documentation and observation. The data analysis techniques used is an interactive model consisting of 3 stages, namely data reduction, data display or data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study found that the communication patterns of mothers and children in using the Youtube application in Cemani Village, Sukoharjo Regency used permissive communication patterns, authoritarian communication patterns and democratic communication patterns.
