Abstract
Kayen District is one of the Districts in Pati Regency. Based on the study of the Pati Regency Spatial Plan (RTRW) No.12 of 2011, it is stated that Kayen District is included in the Development Area Unit (SWP) VI which is directed as a strategic area (JAKATINATA) and as a new service center (development of PPK to PKLp in 2030) as a local activity center as well as a service center for the southern part of Pati district. In the last 10 years, Kayen District has had a high population growth rate of 1.14. To increase the rate of population growth, research was carried out with the aim of (1) analyzing the availability of social facilities in Kayen District (2) analyzing the need for social facilities in Kayen District in 2050 (3) analyzing the level of regional development in Kayen District in 2016-2020. The method used in this study, namely analysis of the availability and needs of social facilities using the Indonesian National Standard (SNI 03-1733-2004), projection analysis using geometric formulas, and the level of regional development using scoring. While the method of analysis used is descriptive statistics, descriptive comparative, and spatial analysis. The results of the study show that there are 77 types of educational facilities available in Kayen District, 85 types of health facilities, and 456 types of worship facilities available. The need for social facilities in 2050 for educational facilities still requires 8 units of SMP and 9 units of SMA. Health facilities require an additional 15 posyandu, 4 maternity clinics and 17 doctors' practices. while worship facilities do not need to be added because they already meet SNI 03-1733-2004 standards. There are 3 classifications for regional development in Kayen District 2016-2020, namely advanced, moderate, and lagging. There is only 1 village that is classified as advanced, namely Kayen Village, while there are 4 villages that are classified as moderate, namely Boloagung, Rogomulyo, Pesagi, Slungkep and Beketel Villages. Meanwhile, there are 11 villages left behind, including Srikaton, Pasuruhan, Talun, Sundoluhur, Trimulyo, Jimbaran, Jatiroto, Brati, Sumbersari, Durensawit, and Purwokerto villages. The low development of the 11 lagging regions has made these areas the first priority in regional development efforts. Key words : Regional Development, Social Facilities, Kayen, Pati
