Abstract

Hamka is a great scholar and commentator, he is a missionary, religious member, writers and journalists. Apart from being a scholar, Hamka is also a multi-role figure. He tried to reform and at the same time make reforms to Islamic education, it means that Hamka actually illustrates that he is a great person by means og religion the dynamics of reason will be well controlled. Al-Azhar tafsir emphasizes the explanation of the verses of the Qur an using the tahlili or analytical methods, besides that Hamka also tries to interpret the verse in a language that is understood by all groups, not only at the level of academics or scholars. The family is the smallest unit of a family (husband, wife, children) under the auspices of the household. In the family there are also rules, both detailed and global that govern the individual as well as the whole. The family is said to be sakinah when it is filled with abundant love, always contributes to goodness and wisdom, always passes the days with a smile of blessing, the vision of life is celar like the sun is very bright. As in the letter ar-Ruum verse 21 that goal in family is the creation of a harmonious relationship, peace and abundant love. In this study of tafsir al-Azhar, Buya Hamka says that love and affection in the family can grow by itself for positive reasons always want to meet the negative, males look for females and men want women. Therefore, there is nothing wrong in the teachings of Islam if the husband and wife always clean the body, make up, fragrant, until the love of mawaddatan deepens. From the results of reseach on the concept of Buya Hamka in realizing the sakinah family, there are four, namely obedience, tranquility, devotion and faith.
