Abstract

Zakat has great potential for the welfare of society. Zakat is the issuance of a portion of the property owned by a human being. It must be implemented by every Islamic country in accordance with the commands of the Qur'an and Hadith. Zakat is expected to help government programs in improving the welfare of the community, so it is important to be managed institutionally so that BAZNAS is formed. The Indonesian state has codified the law regarding the regulation of zakat, namely Law No. 38 of 1999 which was amended by Law No. 23 of 2011 concerning Zakat Management. So the author wants to know the implementation of the existing zakat law in BAZNAS Boyolali Regency, especially regarding collection, distribution and supervision. This research uses empirical juridical research method. This research uses qualitative data analysis techniques. Then, data collection through interviews that use the determination of respondents based on purposive sampling techniques and literature. The result of the research, that the collection of zakat in BAZNAS Boyolali Regency is done through 3 ways and the distribution of zakat given to 8 asnaf through 5 programs owned. BAZNAS Boyolali Regency is supervised by the Ministry of Religion, Local Government, Provincial BAZNAS and the community in accordance with Law No. 23 of 2011 concerning Zakat Management.
