Abstract

As a Muslim, it is appropriate to comply with and practice the two key guidelines for life, the Al-Quran and Hadith, by making these two guidelines as a guide then as a season you will get happiness in the world and be safe in the hereafter. Islam firmly condemns some people who are excessive in being fanatical in anything, be it in terms of worship, morals or muamalah. In this case Islamic moderation becomes a very hot discussion. There are many facets of Islam in Indonesia, this spread is not an obstacle in realizing unity in devotion to Allah through Islam, because Rahmatan lil alamin is not a claim of one group but belongs to the whole world. The Bali bombing terror attack cannot be separated from the role of Jemaah Islamiyah (JI), an international extremist Islamic organization based in Southeast Asia in Indonesia. The Bali bombing still traumatizes all parties, especially the families of the victims. A car bomb assembled by former members of the Afghan mujahidin army succeeded in paralyzing the density of Bali in the twinkling of an eye. Jihad is a subject of discussion in the mass media and scientific literature in both the East and the West. In addition, factors such as the style of religious thought of Jemaah Islamiyah and strong political ideology are suspected to be other factors that pushed the organization to carry out acts of terrorism in the Bali bombing I. Departing from these problems, and from the many studies on religious moderation, the authors are interested in conducting research on religious moderation conducted by the Circle of Peace Foundation. The Circle of Peace Foundation has a significant role in the process of deradicalization of convicts, who previously had radical Islamic thoughts, then moved to an understanding of Wasathiyah Islam. Moderation of Islam is a term in interpreting Islamic teachings, sometimes radical views emerge by some groups, not least triggering acts of intolerance and violence. By using the type of research field research, research is conducted by interviewing sources directly and literature that has been published supported by primary and secondary data. After being examined, this research draws a conclusion that terrorism is an annual disease that diversity must continue to watch out for. Trauma from previous events has made terrorists labeled as a common enemy, actions that have been taken have made other people uncomfortable, shrouded in fear and disrupted the social system, as well as the laws adopted by the Indonesian nation. Therefore, the greatest appreciation for the circle of peace foundation founded by convicts, the dark past is enough to be used as a lesson that Islam does not have to be angry but friendly to others.
