Abstract

This study aims to examine: (1) The effect of teacher communication on student satisfaction in class XI SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen. (2) The effect of student activity on student satisfaction in class XI SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen. (3) The effect of teacher communication and student activity on student satisfaction in class XI SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen. This research is a type of associative quantitative research. The population in this study were students of class XI Social Sciences SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Sragen, which consisted of 106 students. Samples were taken as many as 84 students using a random sampling technique with the type of proportionate random sampling by lottery. Methods of data collection using observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis technique using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the regression analysis obtained the regression line equation: Y = 9.174 + 0.436X1 + 0.406X2. The equation shows that student learning satisfaction is influenced by teacher communication and student activity. The conclusions obtained are: (1) teacher communication influences student learning satisfaction. (2) student activity influences student learning satisfaction. (3) teacher communication and student activity affect student learning satisfaction. (4) The coefficient of determination (R2) is 0.520 or 52%, meaning that the teacher's communication variable and student activity affect learning satisfaction by 52%, while 48% is influenced by other variables not examined.
