Abstract

The business development of Public Refueling Stations (gas stations) increased sharply after the reform era. The number of gas stations has grown and developed so rapidly and is spread across various locations that do not consider environmental aspects and business ethics aspects. This study aims to (1) Examine the distribution of the location of Public Fuel Filling stations (SPBU) in Kartasura District (2) Examine the types and types of Public Refueling Stations (SPBU) in Kartasura District (3) Assess the accessibility of Public Refueling Stations (SPBU) in Kartasura District. This research method uses descriptive qualitative methods. The population in this study was (gas stations) in the Kartasura District area totaling 9 units, spread across 12 villages. This study used the total sampling technique, so that all members of the population were subjected to the study. Data collection is carried out through observation, field measurements (with GPS). Data analysis is carried out by means of quantitative analysis (benchmarking system), and spatial analysis with Geographic Information System (GIS) technology with software. The results of this study show that the distribution of gas stations in Kartasura District is predominantly on the Slamet Riyadi arterial road and Ahmad Yani Road, but there are several gas station locations far from the arterial road, namely in Gonilan and Ngemplak Villages. There are 1 type of DODO gas station and 2 types of gas stations, namely type C and type pertashope.
