Abstract

This research focuses on cultivating the morals of class VII students during the covid pandemic at MTs Negeri 4 Karanganyar. Against the background of class VII students being expelled from school, this was done inseparable from the morals and behavior of students who tarnished the good name of the Madrasa. This study aims: (1) to describe the strategies carried out by Islamic religious education teachers in cultivating the morals of class VII students during the pandemic. (2) to describe the supporting and inhibiting factors of Islamic religious education teachers in cultivating the morals of class VII students during the pandemic. This research is a type of field research and uses a qualitative approach. The subjects in this study were madrasa heads, Islamic religious education teachers and students. Data obtained from observation, interviews, and documentation. The stages in analyzing the data are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Based on research showing the strategy of Islamic religious education teachers in instilling the morals of class VII students during the covid 19 pandemic at MTs Negeri 4 Karanganyar in 2021, namely using exemplary strategies, habituation, stories, advice and suggestions, supervision. Supporting factors in instilling morals are parents, role models from teachers, willingness in students, learning methods. The inhibiting factor for teachers in instilling morals is the limited supervision of the school and the increasingly sophisticated technology.
