Abstract

Dispensers are one of the electronic items that are in many places, from homes, offices, schools, hospitals, and others. This tool can serve drinks in hot, plain, or cold conditions. However, dispensers often have the potential to cause a fire. One of the causes is a short circuit and the condition that there is no water in the gallon. In this final project to design a system that can control and monitor the dispenser using a smartphone through the blynk application and can notify the user via a buzzer and there is a notification if the temperature has exceeded the permitted limit or the water level in gallons has approached the low limit. This tool uses Wemos D1 as a microcontroller namely D1 Wemos ESP8266 as a wifi module. Besides that, it also uses a temperature sensor to monitor temperature, as well as the HC-SR04 sensor as a water level meter. This prototype dispenser is expected to help users control and monitor dispensers in anticipation of unwanted events, such as fires. The results of this study produce a tool that can be used in a smart home concept where the tool can be connected to the internet to monitor water conditions and temperature in the dispenser. The sensor that has been used is the ultrasonic sensor hc-sr04 which has good accuracy with a 0% error percentage in testing. The temperature sensor used is the ds18b20 temperature sensor which has the advantage of a larger measuring distance, namely -55 to 125 0C. The tool that is made can work well where it can fill water according to the full limit with a distance of 7-17 cm and the temperature sensor can keep the water hot with a temperature range of 68-70 0C. The IoT interface uses blynk which is easy to operate and can provide notification information about the condition of the dispenser.
