Abstract

Unexpected acts such as football supporters climbing up trees and jumping over the stadium's parapet to watch their idols play will become a common phenomenon to be encountered in a football match in Indonesia. The purpose of his study was to examine the positive relationship between conformity and fanaticism of football supporters. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a correlation between conformity and fanaticism in football fans. The subjects in this study were 100 Persis Solo football supporters. This study uses a correlational quantitative approach with data collection methods using a conformity scale and a fanaticism scale. The data analysis used Pearson product moment with hypothesized r = 0.575 and p = 0.000 (p <0.05) which means there is a positive significant relationship between conformity and fanaticism of football supporters. It is known from the results of the study that the effective contribution value amounted to 33,1%.
