Abstract
Background: The field of nursing is the main service in a hospital, so it is expected to be able to apply nursing care in accordance with management functions. Therefore, quality nursing staff is needed that can be relied upon. This relates to the characteristic factors of nurses as nursing care providers. Purpose: This study aims to determine the relationship between length of work and level of education with knowledge of management functions. Methods: This study was a quantitative study with a correlative descriptive design and was carried out at the Surakarta Orthopedic Hospital. Respondents in this study were senior nurses in the ward with a total of 42 respondents who were taken by accidental proportional sampling by taking a sample of 10% of the total population. Data collection was carried out by distributing demographic data questionnaires and knowledge management function questionnaires containing Planning, Organizing, Actuating and Controlling (POAC) with multiple choice answer options to determine the level of knowledge of nurses. Results: The results of this study analyze that there is no significant relationship between length of work and knowledge. It is known that the significance value is 0.330 > 0.05. While the second result analyzes with the result that there is no relationship between education level and knowledge with a significance value of 0.241 > 0.05. Conclusion: In this study, there is no relationship between length of work and level of education with knowledge of management functions in nurses.
