Abstract

The Place of Qur'an Education (TPQ) is a means or forum for early childhood children to become the successors of the generation with the spirit of the Qur'ani. Aqidah is the foundation for erecting buildings, the purpose of Aqidah's education to the child is to, strengthen the child's belief that God is the only God who created nature. Therefore, in akidah learning, appropriate methods are needed so that learning about akidah can be conveyed properly and correctly so that students get maximum understanding. The purpose of this study is to find out how the application of the storytelling method and describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in the cultivation of akidah values in TPQ Al-Barokah Karangwinangun Polokarto Sukoharjo. This research is a field research using a qualitative approach with a phenomenological approach. Data sources come from tonutmeg TPQ, ustadz and ustazah. Data collection was carried out using in-depth interviews, participant observations, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Checking the validity of the data is carried out by extension of observations, persistence of observations, and triangulation of data. The results showed that the planting of Aqidah values in TPQ Al-Barokah by applying several stages, namely: (1) Planning, in planting Aqidah values, teachers determine the material in advance regarding the cultivation of Aqidah values. (2) Implementation, in the implementation stage, the things that the teacher does are the opening, core activities, and closing. In the opening activity, the teacher started with a greeting and then asked how he was doing afterwards explaining the purpose of instilling the value of Aqidah. Supporting factors include the role of teachers in delivering material and applying Islamic values to children with efficient methods, supporting the cultivation of Aqidah values in children and teachers as well as motivators. Inhibiting factors include laziness in children as well as factors of parents who are less attentive to children in terms of Aqidah.
