Various kinds of intervention techniques can be used to treat Myofascial Trigger Point Syndrome pain, but the problem is which ones are sure to produce good results. Therefore, manual therapy interventions in the form of myofascial relase technique, cervical traction, muscle stretching and ischemic compression are manual therapy techniques that have an effect on sufferers of Myofascial Trigger Point Syndrome. Objective: to determine the acute effect of manual therapy intervention on patients with ,Myofascial ,Trigger ,Point ,Syndrome ,of the, ,Upper, ,Trapezius, ,muscle. Method: quantitative ,research, type of Quasy, ,Experimental research using ,pre ,test ,and ,post ,test with control, ,group, ,design. The population in this study were Physiotherapy students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta with a diagnosis of Myofascial Trigger Point Syndrome. Based on sampling techniques using purposive sampling. The sample was 8 people who met the inclusion criteria. The research instruments used were Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) to measure pain and Neck Disability Index (NDI) to measure functional activity. Results: Based on the results of manual intervention therapy in the form of myofascial release technique, cervical traction, muscle stretching, and ischemic compression, it has a good acute effect in reducing pain and increasing the patient's functional activity. Conclusion: the provision of manual therapy interventions in patients with Myofascial Trigger Point iSyndrome upper trapezius muscle results are better in reducing pain intensity and increasing functional activity.
