Abstract
Drum drive is an actuator that is used to move the roller drum moving forward or backward. The drum drive principle is the same as the working principle in the final drive, where lies in the rotational speed using planetary gears. The purpose of this analysis is to determine the cause of damage and repair of the drum drive on the Compactor Vibro. The inspection procedure of the drum drive is to visually inspect the damaged components, then perform a disassembly to check the components to determine the damage that occurs on the drum drive. The results of the analysis show that there are damaged drum drive components, namely the floating seal, bearing and disc brake set, so that the drum drive cannot work optimally. In order for the drum drive to work optimally, the damaged components must be replaced. A bigger damage prevention measure is to carry out regular maintenance.
