Abstract

The Indonesian nation is so big with a diversity of cultures, we must preserve every culture. At the present time the media used to introduce culture is currently lacking. This is due to the lack of use of technology that makes less interest in introducing it. This study aims to develop cultural learning media, especially traditional houses and musical instruments in Indonesia based on Augmented Reality for Elementary Schools. In this learning media there is a 3D model that will appear when the camera is pointed at the marker which makes it easier for students to see the shape of traditional houses and musical instruments. The 3D models are rotatable and can be zoomed in and out with your fingers. There is material about traditional houses as well as quizzes that students can play in this application. This study uses the development of the Waterfall Process Model. (1) the percentage of eligibility for the media is 89.2% which is declared very feasible; (2) The results of the material feasibility percentage of 73.07% which are declared feasible; (3) the percentage test for users gets a percentage result of 93.5% so that this media is very feasible.
