Abstract

E-money is a form of the phenomenon of modern world technological sophistication in responding to the upheavals of the times. Advances in the field of digital finance have brought people to an era where the human way of life has begun to coexist with technological instruments. This acceleration received various responses and interest from all circles of the world community towards the emergence of e-money. E-money is chip or server-based digital money that can be easily applied and tends to be practical to carry anywhere. Humans only need to operate their Android device to use this system. The existence of e-money has been responded very positively by various groups, apart from its easy and practical use, e-money also provides various attractive benefits when people use it, such as cashback, discounts and other promos. However, not a few Muslims were cautious at the beginning of the emergence of this digital money system, because its presence caused a lot of doubts about its digital system. apart from being invisible physically, e-money also has various weaknesses in its system, such as illegal piracy by a group of hackers or other virtual crimes. Along with the development and improvement of the e-money digital system, coupled with the emergence of fatwas from the general public, which have begun to find light on this issue, e-money has become a new financial commodity for Muslims. Many of them are starting to use it for daily life to big needs such as commerce but with some records of use that do not go outside the rules of Shari'a. Not only that, Muslims are also starting to look at this system as a medium for storing their possessions, because physical assets are considered quite worrying because of the rampant cases of theft, therefore they choose this alternative as a new method of storing their assets. . The behavior of saving or maintaining assets like this is also in line with what the Al-Qur'an conveys in Q.S. An-Nisa/9: 4, which basically explains that humans must think about their next generation as the spearhead of the struggle so that they are not left in a weak and helpless state, one of which can be overcome by the behavior of maintaining or saving some assets for future use. By using a qualitative method with the type of library research, research will be conducted by examining books and literature that have been published, supported by primary and secondary data. And this research will be carried out using the descriptive analytic analysis method, namely by collecting verses that allude to the behavior of Hifdz Al-mal and analyzing these verses.
