Abstract
This study aims to describe the stages of internalizing religious character values in students at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Boyolali Special Program and SMP Al Qolam Gemolong. Describe the results of internalizing the values of religious character in the human resources of students at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Boyolali Special Program and SMP Al Qolam Muhammadiyah Gemolong. Comparing the similarities and differences in the internalization of religious character values in students at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Boyolali Special Program and SMP Al Qolam Gemolong. In this study, using qualitative research methods conducted by exploring descriptive phenomena that occur in the field based on data sources. This research uses a case study approach. The research methods are interviews, observation, and documentation. Primary Data Sources of School Principals, Teachers, Students. While the secondary data sources are books and journals regarding the internalization of religious character. The results of the study are the internalization of religious characters in Muhammadiyah 2 Boyolali Middle School Special Programs and Al Qolam Muhammadiyah Gemolong Middle School through several stages 1) value transformation through the delivery of religious character material inside and outside of learning, 2) value transactions start from giving examples by the teacher , c) transinternalization of values through the formation of a religious environment that contains habits and rules. The results of the internalization of religious character in SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Boyolali Special Program and SMP Al Qolam Muhammadiyah Gemolong are related to relationships with God, relationships with others, and relationships with the natural surroundings. The similarities in the internalization of religious character values in students at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Boyolali Special Program and SMP Al Qolam Muhammadiyah Gemolong are 1) a religious environment, 2) class division between girls and boys, 3) inhibiting factors, namely the family environment. Differences in the internalization of religious character values in students at Muhammadiyah Middle School 2 Boyolali Special Program and Al Qolam Muhammadiyah Gemolong Middle School, namely: 1) differences in the value transformation stage, 2) Dhuha prayer habituation, 3) control of contact books and 4) imposition of sanctions or punishment.
