Abstract

This study aims to (1) analyze the use of learning media with twitter on climate change material at SMA Negeri 2 Klaten (2) analyze the effectiveness of using learning media with twitter on climate change material at SMA Negeri 2 Klaten. This research is an experimental study using a one-group pretest-posttest design that compares the results of the pretest-posttest class X J. The population in this study was all students in class X at SMA Negeri 2 Klaten, totaling 362 students taken by purposive sampling with a total of 31 students, namely the class that has the lowest average score on the daily geography test. Data collection techniques used are observation, questionnaires in the form of tests and documentation. Data analysis technique using t test. The results of this study indicate that (1) the use of twitter-based media on climate change material is carried out offline/face to face. Students are given orientation (pretest questions) and then students are given time to access twitter-based learning media using a smartphone and the help of a projector. on the projector screen, then an evaluation (posttest questions) regarding climate change is carried out (2) learning using twitter-based media can increase students' knowledge, it is based on the pretest average score of 68.5, while the posttest average score of 85.1 with The number of students is 31. Thus, the results of the research in class X J increased after the implementation of learning using Twitter-based media on climate change material, the results of the Paired Sample T-test obtained the value of sig (2 tailed) = 0.000 which means < 0.05 so Ho is rejected and Ha received. So it can be concluded that the use of twitter-based media is effectively used in improving learning outcomes on climate change material for class X J at SMA Negeri 2 Klaten.
