Abstract
Video clips are a means of expressing and exploring a song by showing something that represents the content and meaning of the song. The music video for We Lost the Summer is the work of the South Korean music group Tomorrow x Together (TXT), which was released on October 26, 2020. The purpose of this study was to find out how the music video for TXT – We Lost the Summer represented the behavior of teenagers during the Covid pandemic crisis. -19. The music video for TXT – We Lost the Summer tells the story of five teenagers whose daily activities have changed due to the spread of the coronavirus. The scenes in this video clip illustrate how teenagers' behavior and emotions that arise from teenagers when carrying out normal activities before the pandemic and when carrying out activities in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. This study uses a type of qualitative research with semiotic analysis techniques by Roland Barthes, which has three sign systems: denotation, connotation, and myth. As for the results of this study, it is known that the crisis period of the Covid-19 pandemic limits every face-to-face activity so that teenagers spend more and more time using the internet and social media –which will affect how a person behaves. The period of the Covid-19 pandemic, which is not yet known when it will end, has a big impact on changes in adolescent emotions and can make someone feel stressed.
