Abstract

This research will explain the process of diffusion of innovation to the use of the artsteps aplikasi as a technology for carrying out Virtual photography exhibitions. During the Covid-19 pandemi there were regulations that limited people's travel as well as restrictions on crowds. Artsteps is here as an aplikasi that comes with real time advantages and can be accessed anywhere. This study used a descriptive qualitative method by conducting interviews with 6 informants from Finic UMS which included the committee chairperson, the person in charge of the event, and the event documentation section. Based on the results of the interview, artsteps is an innovation because artsteps has the characteristics of Relative Advantage, Compatibility, Complexity, Trialability, and Observability. In UKM Finic UMS the communication channels used are interpersonal and use the mass media. Meanwhile, the characteristics of Artsteps users in Finic UMS are grouped into two, namely early adopter and early majority.
