Abstract

Background: Tennis Elbow is a tendinopathy of the extensor muscles of the forearm that occurs due to repetitive movements of the wrist or arm in a supine position which causes the extensor of the forearm to be disrupted which originates at the lateral epicondylus of the humerus. Purpose: the purpose of this study was to determine the effect and procedure of manual handling of therapy on complaints of outer elbow pain (tennis elbow). Method: This type of research is a case study. The method used in this study is observational with a population of 24 employees at Japanese restaurants and a sample of 4 people with complaints of tennis elbow, the sampling technique in this study used a purposive sampling technique. VAS (visual analogue scale) and HandGrip measurement tools, measurements were carried out during 4 meetings and follow-up 2 times after the intervention. Data analysis in this study is an analytical description obtained from graphical analysis and the process of observation based on measurements. Results: Based on the results of manual therapy interventions in the form of myofascial release techniques, stretching, and joint repositioning. The results were obtained after 4 measurements, namely on pain measurements from T1-T4 there was a steady increase in F1-F2, in PRTEE from T1-T4 Pain in patients experienced an increase after being given intervention, and in Handgrip there was an increase that was not significant. Conclusion: the conclusion in this study is that there is a positive effect of manual therapy with myofascial release, stretching, and joint repositioning techniques.
