Abstract
This study aims to show the search for meaning of life in the novel all the bright places using an existentialist criticism. This is done by setting two objectives: the first is to analyze the novel based on its structural element and the second is to analyze the novel based on existentialist analysis. This research is a descriptive qualitative research technique primary data source is novel. The novel all the bright places directed by Brett Haley was released in 2015. Meanwhile, secondary data sources are other materials taken from books, journals and the internet related to research. Both of these data were collected though library research and dialysis with descriptive analysis. This study came to the following conclusions. First, based on the analysis of the structure of each element, it can be seen that the character and characterizations, plot, setting, point of view, and theme. Second, based on existentialism analysis, Violet Markey want to find the meaning of life with the presence of finch in her life.
