Abstract
The aim of this study is to reveal how the major character reflected her struggle to get the higher position in the company. The objective of this study is to analyze the novel based on its structural analysis and based on feminist liberal analysis. This study was a qualitative study. The object of this study is Michael Crichton’s Disclosure published in 1993 in United States of America by Ballantine Books, a Division of Random House, Inc. The data sources are divided into two, namely primary and secondary data source. The primary data source was the novel itself and secondary data source was the other sources are the reference and materials picking up from book and internet related to the analysis of the novel. The method of data collections was library research. The technique of data analysis was descriptive analysis. The result of the study shows that the major character has higher position in the company although she uses either good or bad effort. It means that the women’s right, women’s position, woman’s role and woman participation are highly valued related to American society reflected in the novel.
