Abstract

A smartphone is an electronic telecommunications device that has the same basic capabilities as a conventional telephone, however smartphones are more practical and have more complete features. In Indonesia, more than half of the population or 56.2% used smartphones in 2018. A year later, 63.3% of people used smartphones. It is estimated that by 2025, at least 89.2% of the population in Indonesia will have used smartphones. Until now, many smartphone products have been offered from various brands, the company always develops products that will be marketed immediately. With so many products being presented to consumers, starting from brands, hardware specifications, and functionality of the smartphone itself, make consumers are confused when deciding which smartphone to buy. Based on these problem, then a decision support system is needed that uses the TOPSIS method, this method performs ranking using predetermined criteria to determine the best choice of several existing alternatives. The results of system testing using the blackbox method show positive results because all system functionality can run well. then the system usability scale (SUS) test obtained a value of 89, which means that the rating is acceptable to the user.
