Abstract

Magetan Regency is located on the slopes of Mount Lawu and has a fairly high slope, so Magetan Regency is one of the districts in East Java Province which is prone to landslides. Geographic information system is used in this research to analyze vulnerability. Four factors, namely soil type, land use, rainfall, and slope slope are used to determine the level of vulnerability to landslides in Magetan Regency. This study aims to 1) analyze the distribution of landslide vulnerability levels in Magetan Regency, 2) analyze the dominant factors in the occurrence of land slides in Magetan Regency, 3) formulate recommendations for landslide disaster mitigation directions in Magetan Regency. This study uses a survey method with a unit of analysis of the level of vulnerability. The sampling method in this study used stratified random sampling based on the land unit strata. The data analysis method used is tiered overlay analysis, frequency table analysis, analysis of landslide hazard maps and field surveys. The results of this study show that there are 4 levels of landslide vulnerability, namely not prone, less prone, prone, and very vulnerable, the average level of vulnerability in Magetan Regency is less prone with an area of 36503.02 Ha. The dominant factor causing landslide vulnerability in Magetan Regency is land use with a percentage of 28.30%, inappropriate land use can cause land damage and lose the ability to minimize landslide disasters. Recommendations for disaster mitigation in Magetan Regency based on the results of analysis and field surveys are divided into 2 forms, namely structural mitigation and non-structural mitigation.
