Abstract
Home sanitation is a public health effort that focuses on monitoring the physical structure of a residence that affects the degree of human health. This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of the level of education and income of the family head on the availability of household sanitation in North Sangatta Village, East Kutai. The type of research used is analytic observational with a cross sectional approach. This research was conducted in June in North Sangatta Village, East Kutai Regency. Sampling in this study used simple random sampling with proportionate random sampling technique with a minimum number of samples of 125 samples. The results showed that there was no effect between the education level of 0.380 (p>0.05) on the availability of household sanitation facilities in North Sangatta Village, East Kutai, and the influence of the income of the head of the family of 0.000 (p<0.05) on the availability of household sanitation facilities in North Sangatta Village, East Kutai. There is no influence between the level of education on the availability of household sanitation in Sangatta Utara Village, East Kutai. The level of education has an influence on thinking patterns on behavior in the availability of household sanitation facilities and the influence of the income of the head of the family on the availability of household sanitation in Sangatta Utara Village, East Kutai. Low income affects his behavior in the availability of household sanitation facilities. It takes the importance of public awareness of the importance of environmental health in order to avoid environmental-based diseases.
