Abstract

Background: The spread of the COVID19 virus has an impact on various aspects of life including education. One of the ways to break the chain of the spread of the COVID-19 virus in the world of education is to replace face-to-face learning with online learning methods. Objectives: What are the Perceptions of Lecturers of the Indonesian Faculty of Dentistry regarding online learning activities to fulfill dentistry graduate competencies. Methods: a cross-sectional approach. Subjects were 52 FKG lecturers in Central Java Province, Yogyakarta and East Java using accidental sampling technique. The data analysis technique used univariate analysis. Results: Perceptions online learning effectiveness and convenience, and meeting competency standards by more than 50% agree. Teaching performance consists of self-confidence, material delivery performance and lecturer enthusiasm 55.8% Agree. Lecturer perceptions readiness and motivation in online learning 80.8% Agree 80.8%. Fulfillment competency standards according to KKI 76.9% Agree, competency achievement through online media teaching 78.0% Agree and the process of fulfilling competency standards online is obtained 80.8% Agree. Obstacles are known 50% experience signal problems, Learning Platforms Disagree 65.4% about the lack of lecturers exploring learning platforms. Preparation of online learning materials 50% Disagree, online learning takes longer, difficulties in presenting the material and not maintaining class motivation. The lecturer's evaluation online learning was by the Agree answer of 57.7%. Conclusion: Implementation online learning during the COVID19 pandemic, FKG lecturers more effective, flexible, performant, and online learning was competent according to KKI standards, and the obstacles they experienced were network availability and technical constraints.
