Abstract

The implementation of learning still applies conventional methods, where the learning media used is LKS which allows students to be less interested and enthusiastic when learning takes place. This causes students to be limited in understanding and mastering the material provided so that learning is not optimal. This study aims to develop augmented reality learning media as an introduction to the types of computer networks equipped with animation features on each type of network. This study used the R&D (Research and Development) development method with the Luther Sutopo version of the MDLC development model. The media trial was conducted on 16 participants at SMK Muhammadiyah 3 Nogosari. Prior to testing the participants, this learning media was validated by 2 media experts Lecturer of Informatics Education and 1 subject matter expert teacher of computers and basic networks and 1 lecturer of Informatics Engineering Education. The results of the media expert feasibility test have an interpretation value of 90% which is declared very feasible which is validated at 0.87 which is declared valid. The material expert feasibility test obtained an interpretation value of 85.25% which was stated to be very feasible with a validation of 0.81 which was declared valid. The results of user tests carried out by 16 people using the System Usability Scale (SUS) are worth 87.34 in the acceptable grade B category. Based on the results of the tests carried out, augmented reality learning media as an introduction to types of computer networks is very feasible to use.
