Abstract
The SARS-CoV-2 virus has caused a worldwide pandemic that started at the end of 2019 until 2023, the virus pandemic is still not over. The pandemic situation that occurred in Indonesia caused the Government to take steps to prevent the transmission of Covid-19 in the community by imposing restrictions on community activities. Restrictions carried out by the Government caused several problems to arise in the community such as economic problems that occurred due to limited economic space in society. The city of Surakarta is one of the cities that has implemented restrictions on community activities and resulted in the emergence of economic problems such as increasing poverty and the number of unemployed due to hampered economic spaces due to the pandemic. Therefore, it is necessary to have economic spaces that are resistant to pandemics, both currently and in the future, to create economic spaces that can function optimally even in a pandemic. Apart from the need for economic space, social spaces are also needed during a pandemic so that people can socialize well even though a pandemic is happening. The form of space that can be used as a solution to this problem is the Islamic Center which is a social space for Muslims and can be used to manage the people's economy. The method used in this design is by using a post-pandemic architectural approach which is applied to the design in the form of adjusting air circulation, selecting materials and filtering indoor air. Buildings designed for Islamic centers adapt their functions, namely in the form of mosques, economic and social buildings and supporting facilities buildings.
