Abstract

Education has important role in fostering intelligence as well as in better personality. Therefore, Indonesia constantly builds and develops education so that the implementation process produces the expected generation. In order to maximize the results of students I expected, in the process also through evaluation an improvement of one of the efforts to improve land educators through proper coaching. Leadership training also reguires methods in its implementation. A method is required to suid the purpose so that the implementations of the method of intructon in student is the literacy activities. This thesis discusses the implementation of Quran literacy methodes in the development of students at high school Negeri 3 Sukoharjo. The main issues discussed are the implementation of Qur’an literacy methods in the development of students in 3 Sukoharjo state high school and the results of Qur’an literacy methods in the development of 3 Sukoharjo state high school. The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the implementation of Qur’an literacy methods in the development of students’ literacy at 3 Sukoharjo state high school, (2) to describe the results of Qur’an literacy methods in the development of 3 Sukoharjo state high school. This type of research is qualitative descriptive research with a case study approach. Data collection is done by observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis models: data reduction, serving, and conclusions withdrawal. Based on the research results that the effort to develop proper through Qur’an literacy activities is: 1) The implementation of literacy activities started from the Sukoharjo District Education Office program. The time for carrying out al-Quran literacy activities is 15 minutes before the start of the first study hour. The Qur’an literacy activities are held on Thursdays and Fridays. The technical implementation of the Qur’an literacy activity is a literacy team consistingof three students, who serve as tilawah, lower sarit, and notulen. Literacy of the Qur’ann is carried out jointly in the canter led by a literacy team. Then the students in the class follow their reading, and are supervised directly by the teacher who teaches at the first hour. Students are not allowed to use mobile phones when reading the Qur’an with the aim of making students accustomed to reading the Qur’an with the Holy Book. Forms of Qur’an literature include reading the Qur’an and its translations, understanding the meaning and purpose of the Qur’an, and the education of the scriptures. 2) with the existence of Qur’an literature activities, it can provide results to students’ character in 3 Sukoharjo state high school such as developing religious character, disciplinary character, integrity, independence, and cooperation.
