Abstract
A disaster is an event that threatens and disrupts people's lives and livelihoods caused, both by natural factors, non-natural factors and human factors. This results in human casualties, environmental damage, property losses, and psychological impacts. The main factors that result in disasters inflicting casualties and heavy losses are lack of understanding of the characteristics of hazards, attitudes or behaviors that result in a decrease in natural resources, lack of early warning information resulting in unpreparedness, and helplessness or incompetence in dealing with disasters. The population used in this study was residents of Sepanjang Village and Bandardawung Kecamata Tawangmangu Village with a total of 2596 households. Based on slovin calculations, the number of populations obtained was 40 households which were determined as samples from this study. Research variables include disaster preparedness from land landslides, data collection techniques used, namely: 1) Documentation, 2) Questionnaires, 3) Observation. The data analysis used in this study consists of 2 methods, namely the scoring method and quantitative descriptive analysis by describing the data that has been collected without intending to make conclusions that apply to the public. Based on the results of research on the level of preparedness of residents in facing land landslide disasters in Sepanjang Village and Bandardawung Village, Tawangmangu District, they received a high number with a score of 85.55%, based on the value of the disaster preparedness level index. The high level of public knowledge about landslide disasters causes high preparedness rates and the experience gained by the community about the risk of damage caused by landslides makes people have a preparedness attitude.
