Abstract
The dynamics of changes in party vote acquisition are in fact highly fascinating to analyze every time an election is held. For a party running in elections, such as the Partai Keadlian Sejahtera (PKS) in the 2014 and 2019 Sukoharjo DPRD elections, changes in vote acquisition are a given. This study intends to determine the variations in voter turnout and PKS support in the Sukoharjo Regency DPRD elections held in 2014 and 2019 as well as the relationship between Sukoharjo Regency's socioeconomic circumstances and the PKS vote acquisition. Descriptive analysis, analysis of Geographic Association Coefficients (KAG), analysis of Location Quotients (LQ), and descriptive analysis are the analytical techniques used to examine qualitative data. The village is the unit of analysis used. According to the results, out of the 167 villages/kelurahan in the Sukoharjo Regency, 22 saw a loss in votes, 2 saw no change, and 143 saw an increase. In 2014, there were 61 communities that served as PKS bases; in 2019, there were 64. During the 2014 election, there were only 4 sub-districts that served as the basis; this number expanded to 6 base-districts in 2019, while the sub-districts with the most PKS bases have topographies that range from flat to hilly. If the majority of PKS voters reside in densely populated areas or urban-semi-urban communities that are diverse in terms of occupation, religion, ethnicity, race, and PKS voters who have higher levels of education than residents in rural areas, this might be interpreted as a sign. Each sub-KAG district's value is smaller than 1, showing that the PKS votes are evenly distributed throughout each village in the sub-district, and this is also true for the KAG value for each constituency. has a value that is less than 1, which also means that each sub-PKS district's votes are distributed equally. However, in electoral district 3, it has increased, indicating that there is one sub-district where the pattern of vote distribution is concentrated. The results of multiple linear regression tests of social conditions (population, education, employment, mosques) with PKS votes found results if residents (women) & mosque facilities had a significant effect on PKS votes, while for residents (men), type of work & education level has no significant effect on PKS vote acquisition.
