Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the description of parenting stress in housewives with low education who accompany children in online learning for elementary school students during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research uses a qualitative descriptive strategy approach. Research credibility using member check. The research subjects were mothers of elementary school students, totaling 3 people. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews and document analysis. The results of the study show that the Feeling of competence is the feeling that he lacks the ability to take care of children and the feeling of discomfort is too worried if something bad happens, in fact in accompanying the subject's learning many encounter obstacles such as the problem of dividing time between doing homework and accompanying children's learning. In the aspect of Social Isolation , two of the three subjects received support from their family and environment, but the mother was still fully responsible for guiding children's learning, while another subject did not receive assistance from their family or environment. On Aspects of Restriction Imposed by parent role two of the three subjects did not experience problems in providing learning support facilities, while one other subject was constrained in providing learning facilities. In the aspect of Health of Parent , the results obtained by the subject are constrained in carrying out daily activities due to declining health after excessive activity, resulting in the subject experiencing symptoms of increased stomach acid and dizziness. In the aspect Parent Depression , the subject feels worried if he is unable to explain the learning material to the child, the subject often feels emotional when accompanying the child to study, even triggering an argument with a partner.
