Abstract

Trade is an important sector in Purwodadi District. One of the problems that exist in Purwodadi District is the welfare of traders due to relocation which causes traders' income to decrease. The decrease in income was due to relocation which was not accompanied by guidance to traders. The goal of this research are 1.) to find out the characteristics of street vendors in Purwodadi sub-district 2.) to find out the income of street vendors after being relocated to the Purwodadi culinary center. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is using descriptive and spatial analysis to describe the distribution of areas of origin before being moved and also the location of the buyers who came. The results of the study show that 1.) The income of street vendors after being transferred to the Purwodadi culinary center has decreased. Many buyers are dissatisfied with the location of the Purwodadi culinary center. Even though the location is strategic, the location is considered a bit rundown because it used to be a market so it still gives a dirty impression. Besides that, some of the facilities in the culinary center are also not well cared for. Based on the results of the location map of traders before being relocated, most of the traders used to be sellers in downtown Purwodadi while the rest did not sell in downtown Purwodadi 2.) The average income of traders has decreased from 42 traders who have been relocated, namely initially there were 33, 33% of traders have an income of Rp. 1,000,000 – 2,000,000 decreased to 21.43%. In addition, street vendors who have an income of less than IDR 500,000 also increased from 7.14% to 28.57%.
