Abstract

Education on the introduction of animals by type of food can be divided into 3 groups: Carnivores, Omnivores, and Herbivores. Carnivores are meat-eating animals, Omnivores are plant and meat-eating animals, and Herbivores are plant-eating animals. The introduction of animal food groups is very important so that children can distinguish foods that are suitable for Herbivorous animals. Many children do not know the type of animal, whether it belongs to the Herbivorous group or not. Therefore, the purpose of making the application is to introduce children to know material about herbivorous animals. The creation of this educational game is based on the number of children whose interest in learning has begun to decline, because they spend more time playing games. Therefore, educational games are one solution so that children do not feel bored when learning. This study aimed to develop an Educational Game for Introduction to Herbivorous Animal Food at TKIT MTA Sukoharjo. The research method used is the Game Development Life Cycle (GDLC), which has several stages: initiation, preproduction, production, testing, beta, and release. Each stage must be carried out in sequence. The system trial phase is carried out using the Blackbox testing and User Acceptance Test (UAT) methods. The test results with Blackbox show that the application has a 0% error. Meanwhile, the results of the User Acceptance Test (UAT) test concluded that the game is interesting to play with an average percentage result of 85%.
