Abstract
The era of globalization that has occurred lately requires every element of management to play an important role in organizing and utilizing the resources they have so that they are able to withstand pressures and threats from the changing environment at any time to as low as possible so as to facilitate the process of achieving the goals of an organization. In the company, employee performance is the answer to the success or failure of the organizational goals that have been set. Performance is a goal-oriented process aimed at ensuring that organizational processes are in place to maximize the productivity of employees, teams, and ultimately, the organization. Leadership is a benchmark for organizational development because without good leadership it will be difficult to achieve goals, even to adapt to changes that are happening inside and outside the company. With work involvement, employees will have a sense of belonging to the work they do. The purpose of this study is to measure the influence of leadership on employee performance with work involvement as a mediating variable. Respondents in this study were 75 people who were conducted through an online survey using google form. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique. Test the validity and reliability using smart PLS analysis on the outer model. Hypothesis testing using the smartPLS inner model. The results of the analysis show that work involvement partially mediates the relationship between leadership and employee performance.
