Abstract

This study aims to determine the marketing strategy carried out by princess make-up artists to increase consumer interest and to determine the use of social media as a marketing medium to increase the make-up service business. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method, using data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques include data reduction, data display, conclusion drawing/verification. Triangulation using triangulation techniques. The results showed that 1) Princess make up artists marketing strategy to increase consumer interest was carried out by understanding which market share to target, besides that the tastes of consumers were also an important concern in the Princess make up artist marketing process. 2) Utilization of social media as a marketing strategy to improve the make up service business, by using social media as marketing for Princess make up artists in informing their products is able to convey the advantages of make up services and their drawbacks in an attractive and right on target manner. Princess make up artist uses social media Instagram which is used to improve her make up service business, because currently the Instagram account @princess_makeupllg has 6,548 followers which are still growing every day. The marketing strategy used by Princess make up artist to increase consumer interest includes: 1) Excellent service, 2) maintaining quality, 3) price, 4) promotion.
