Abstract

In the world of parenting , there are many parenting put forward by experts. One of them is Quranic parenting which is based on the Koran as a parenting for Muslim parents to foster an Islamic family. Where in Luqman's letter verse 13 becomes the focal point of the importance of the father's role in paternal involvement. The purpose of this study was to prove the hypothesis and find out whether there is an effect of quranic parenting on the emotional intelligence of children in grade 7 students at Pondok Pesantren Al-Qur'an Darut Taqwa Boyolali and how big the effect is. This research usesfield researchand a quantitative research approach using the questionnaire documentation method. The primary data sources in this study are the Koran and the book Quranic Parenting by Abdul Mustaqim. The secondary data sources used are journals, books, articles, and other works related to this research. Followed by data analysis using a simple linear regression test by starting with some prerequisite tests. The results of various processing and analysis of research data on the effect of quranic parenting on children's emotional intelligence show that the level of implementation of quranic parenting by fathers in paternal involvement is in the moderate category at 95.5%. While the level of emotional intelligence of grade 7 students at Darut Taqwa Al-Qur'an Islamic Boarding School is categorized as moderate with a percentage of 62.8%. Based on the results of the linear regression test, it was found that quranic parenting was carried out by fathers in paternal involvement (0.012 <0.05), which means it has an influence on children's emotional intelligence. Then, based on the percentage of influence that the quranic parenting style affects the emotional intelligence of children by 23.9% while 76.1% is influenced by other variables not examined.
