Abstract

Literature is a place for writers to express themselves through their works. Literature learning in schools is still lacking regardless of the sentence style found in the novel. With the use of stylistic studies, it can provide a deeper understanding of other meanings of a sentence and can better understand the sentence. In essence, the use of stylistics in learning can enable students to better understand every structure and other meaning of literary works. By looking for the structure and use of the language used. With the use of stylistics, it is hoped that it can add deeper insight to students. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. By collecting from various sources such as novels. The object of this research is the novel Pulang by Tere Liye while the subject is the style of language in the novel. The data used in this study are imagery, figure of speech, discourse, clause, sentence style, use of greeting, use of concrete sentences, connotative sentences and sentence structure. The source of this data is taken from the novel Pulang by Tere Liye by analyzing the sentences used. For data collection used by using library research and by using data reduction to take a few sentences or the data is selected and the sentences needed to be researched are taken. In this technique the data is collected by data reduction, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions from the literature study.
