Abstract

Problems that often occur are about area differentiation, economic conditions, and differences in welfare conditions that occur to Grab and Gojek drivers who are in Semarang City and Yogyakarta City during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study aims to first analyze the differences in the impact of the pandemic on online motorcycle taxi drivers, the second to analyze the differences in survival strategies during the pandemic between online motorcycle taxi drivers in Semarang City and Yogyakarta City. The population of this research is online motorcycle taxi drivers located in Semarang City and Yogyakarta City with a sample of 200 respondents. The sampling technique used is non-probability sampling, namely non-random sampling using the Slovin calculation method to determine the population. While the analysis technique used is editing (editing) and tabulating (tabulating) used to obtain accurate data results. The results of the first study stated that there was no significant difference due to the application of health protocol regulations, so that it had an impact on the number of orders, types of orders, time of order, length of time working for online motorcycle taxi drivers and online motorcycle taxi drivers' income. The results of the second study concluded that the two cities had the same strategy, among others, the first to change the working hours of online motorcycle taxi drivers, the second to increase the working hours of online motorcycle taxi drivers, and the third to find a side job and open a business.
