Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of exposure to Shopeepaylater advertisements on Youtube on the consumer style of the students of the Faculty of Communication and Informatics, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This type of research is an explanatory research with a quantitative approach. This research was conducted online by distributing questionnaires to 95 respondents using google form. then the analysis technique used in this study using simple linear regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of exposure to Shopeepaylater advertisements on Youtube on the consumptive style of the students of the Faculty of Communication and Informatics, University of Muhammadiyah Surakarta. This is evidenced by the large value of sig (2-tailed) obtained at 0.000. Because the value of sig (2-tailed) is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), then Ho is not accepted, which means that the influence of exposure to Shopeepaylater advertisements on Youtube on the consumptive style of students of the Faculty of Communication and Informatics, Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta.
